Review by Angela L. Mcghee for Maxi Archery Set Rating: The target broke while attaching the legs to it. Although the bow shoots well, the arrows won't stick to anything, including the target. The strap will not stay on the carrying case. Very disappointing.

Review by GaNursey for Maxi Archery Set Rating: This product is cheaply made, the arrows dont stick and if I hadnt of ordered extra arrows there were only three with it and three darts for the blowing tubes of which there are no instructions with. One of the legs was cracked and the end of it, was in two pieces....lucky thing I had some superglue and could fix it. I thought this was like a beginners archery set, and it is only a cheap toy set. Sorry I wasted money on this item.

Review by Eve E. Brown for Maxi Archery Set Rating: My 7-year-old son was so excited to get this. It looks great, except that no matter where you shoot and what distance you shoot from, the arrows bounce off. He was very frustrated and disappointed with this toy quickly. On the plus side, nobody will get hurt with bouncing arrows, I guess. I do not recommend this toy.

It was not great quality; the arrows do not fly well; the suction cups do not stick to the target no matter the amount of spit on them or the distance! Generally disappointing. It is fun for make-believe play, but not for actual bow/arrow/Robin Hood action. Cheesy!

Review by JHC for Maxi Archery Set Rating: This is a frustrating toy! Not only do the arrows have to hit the target, they have to hit it with the suction cups angled just right and with a lot of force. And that idea about what would make them stick to the target is purely theoretical at this point. Neither my kids, my husband nor I have yet gotten one to stick...except for my son who walked up to the target and placed the arrow there with his hand. I would recommend that you not waste your money on this unless your intention is to teach your kids to tolerate consistent and inevitable failure!

It explains all the aspects of archery (i.e. terminology, shooting, etc.). The illustrations make this the most comprehensive book I have seen. You can't go wrong buying this book for your archery library whether you a beginner or advanced

Review by for Archery: Steps to Success (Steps to Success Sports Series) Rating: I agree with another post that this book is primarily written for a summer camp counselor who is in charge of the archery course! I was probably dissapointed because I read this after reading the revised edition of Dr. Kidwell's book Instinctive Archery Insights. That book enlightened me, and helped my shooting, in ways I could never have imagined! This book, Archery: Steps to Success is pretty basic. If that is what you are looking for I guess it's OK.

If you target shoot, then you do need this book to improve. It is "The Dummies Guide to better archery". All clubs should have a copy for all bow types; it is simply a training book, which takes you step by step through what are painfully obvious tuning and practice sessions. This is your own personal tutor book, which is full of hints and explanations on style and equipment.

I read the book completely before buying my bow and other gear. This helped immensely in knowing somewhat what I needed and wanted. The lesson plans and activities are easy to understand and very useful. I refer back to the book often. I highly recommend this book.

Review by Jeffrey J Lim for Archery: Steps to Success (Steps to Success Sports Series) Rating: Read this book from cover to cover as an experienced archer and thought most of the information was superfluous. Authors tried to cover all aspects in a very brief amount of time and text. Methods are too standard stated in a matter-of-fact manner disregarding other theories, practices and methods. This book might be good for a boy scouts counselor but not a serious archer with goals of competition and proficiency. All illustrations are hand drawn leaving out critical detail.
